St. Patrick’s Day!

Hi Lovelies!

How is everyone doing? I am currently on Spring Break and am loving this time off! Who else is on Spring Break? This week has been a staycation for me where I caught up on home errands and responsibilities and spent time with family and friends. I can’t believe it is already Friday; this week has flown by! For those of you who are on Spring Break, what did you do?

Also, Happy St. Patrick’s Day everybody! I hope you are all wearing green somewhere on your body, if not someone may pinch you. I’m wearing green on my nails! This time, I gave my nails a simple design for St. Patty’s Day. I included a picture of my nails below along with the materials I used to create this design in case if anyone is curious. Please check it out and tell me what you think. Suggestions and comments are much appreciated!

Thank you for visiting and reading my blog! I hope everyone enjoys this weekend and the rest of Spring Break!

Valentine’s Day!

Hi Lovelies!

Love is in the air; Happy Valentine’s Day!

I sincerely hope that everyone enjoyed this day dedicated to love! What did everyone do to celebrate this romantic holiday? I stayed indoors to relax and avoid the busy restaurants and stores. My body needed to rest anyways because I have been super busy with work and family life. Now, I am feeling refreshed!

Even though I was busy, I still made time to pamper myself by painting and stamping my nails this weekend in honor of Valentine’s day. This time, my nail painting session went smoothly and quickly too! It took me about 2 hours to complete my Valentine’s nails! This is a good sign; I think I am improving at painting and stamping my nails! What do you think? By the way, I noticed that my nail cuticles are extremely dry. May my experienced nail artist readers advise me on how to improve the conditions of my nail cuticles?  I have heard that I can either snip or push back my nail cuticles, but which method is safer and better for me to try? Your advice is much appreciated; thank you!

Chinese New Years!

Hi Lovelies!

Happy Chinese New Years! As a Chinese American, this holiday is important to me because it signifies the beginnings of a new and prosperous year ahead in my native culture. For those of you who are not familiar with this holiday, check out this website for details on the importance of Chinese New Years. I am looking forward to spending time with my family, receiving red envelopes, and enjoying delicious foods as we welcome the new year! For those of you who celebrate this holiday, what is your favorite part about Chinese New Year?

In honor of Chinese New Year, I painted my nails red and gold themed which symbolizes good luck and prosperity. Overall, it took me way longer than expected to successfully stamp my nails with Chinese New Year designs. The gold Mundo De Unas nail polish that I was using to stamp the designs was really thick because it hasn’t been used in a long time. I had to add a few drops of nail polish thinner into the polish and mix it with an electric mixer for what seemed like 30 minutes before it thinned out enough to stamp. Then, I realized that the squishy stamper that I usually use to stamp was not picking up the image nicely from the plate. At the end, I went back to using my first stamper which was the pink konad stamper and was easily able to stamp the designs onto all my nails. Even after a few challenges, I am very pleased with how my nails turned out. What do you think?

Tip of the day: Make sure your nail stamping polish is mixed well and thin enough to be stamped onto your nail. Always have backup nail stampers just in case if your go-to stamper does not want to perform.

Happy 2017!

Hi Lovelies!

I am excited to be a part of the WordPress blog community!

For my first post, I would like to share my 2017 New Years’ nails that I painted and stamped on my own two hands! I am a beginner in the world of nail stamping and my nails were a couple of days old when I took pictures of my nails. Please overlook the worn edges of my nails and enjoy the designs which is the main purpose of me sharing these photos! I identify myself as a holiday nail stamper because I am usually more inspired to paint and stamp my nails fancily for the holidays if time allows. My goal is to continue to explore the nail stamping art and improve in time with practice. For the experienced bloggers and nail stampers, your tips and advice are much appreciated. Thank you!
